There have been many occasions in my life when I felt unseen or unloved, which were feelings that intensified when we went into lockdown in 2020.

 

After reading tweets from black users, who said that the racial injustices were affecting their mental health in the summer of 2020, I knew I wanted to do something.

 

During this time, I took a Research and Writing course that required us to do a final project on a chosen topic. Since mental health is a passion of mine, I wanted to make a blog targeting black youth and young adults to uplift them when their mental health gets tested.
